2008 Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club Meeting
Tuesday, November 11, 2008 - The Santa Rosa November Meeting was held at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida today.
The topic for the Educational Seminar "Habitat Management on Golf Courses" was presented by Larry Livingston, CGCS, from Troon Golf, and
Ron Prescott, of Glenlakes Golf Club.
We want to thank our two superintendent speakers. They explained what they have done to help preserve their courses’ natural habitat.
Larry Livingston, CGCS, manages two courses, Camp Creek Golf Club and Sharks Tooth Golf Club. Both of these clubs are certified through the Audubon International Society.
Ron Prescott, our second speaker, manages and monitors bluebirds throughout Glenlakes Golf Club. The session gave attendees
a number of excellent ideas as each seek to protect the natural habitats on and around their own courses.
Also, we want to thank our wonderful sponsors. Our sponsors make our zone meetings possible. Their support helps keep the cost down for our members and also allows prizes for the golf tournament.
Thank you to Beard Equipment Company, Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation, Kilpatrick Turf, Wachovia Securities and E-Z-Go Textron - who also sponsors luncheon. THANK YOU!!!
