Recent Events
2008 Heron Lakes May Meeting - The May Meeting, hosted by Jeff Cornelson at Heron Lakes Country Club, was a great event. Our speaker, John Edd Thompson, the local meteorologist at Fox 10 News, brought good weather for the golfers to enjoy and a great presentation for all the attendees to enjoy.

2008 Mole Cricket Classic - Everyone had a great time at this year's Mole Cricket Classic at Dothan's Highlands & Magnolia Courses (part of the famous RTJ Golf Trail).
The winning team (LOW GROSS) included Judd Lindsey and Barry Sowell of Southern USA Turf, Tim Etheridge of Dothan Country Club and Doug Webb of
the Regal Chemical Company, with a winning gross score of 57. The winning team (LOW NET) included Trevor Richardson of Cambrian Ridge Golf Course and Jeff Andrews
and David McKnight of Highland Oaks Golf Course with a net score of 49.67. Everyone had a great time, and we would like to thank all the great sponsors who made the

2008 Annual Meeting - Dr. Bob Carrow and Dr. Clint Waltz, from the University of Georgia, were the guest speakers and addressed
BMPs for water conservation on golf courses. Also, there was a vote for this
year's officers. It was decided to keep the board intact, the same group that presided over 2007. Just before lunch,
our webmaster Rod Jordan unveiled the new website on the big screen, explaining all the exciting new additions that
have been added for 2008. Be sure to take advantage of our new website.

2007 SuperPro - As in years past, the 2007 SuperPro Tournament was another outstanding event.
The winning team was from Spring Hill College and included Jon Spence, Duke Ankiewicz, Michael Johnson and Robert Palmer.
We hope everyone had a great experience and we all certainly look forward to next year's event coming Fall 2008!

event, and moreover helps Tricia better prepare for and plan each event.

Registration for golf generally begins at 8 am, with the meetings starting at 9 am.
After the meeting we will have lunch, followed by golf.
